User Action​

Complete the following steps:

  1. Back up data.
  2. Check the current Intel Optane PMEM DIMM health status in one of the following ways:
    1. Run PMEM test under LXPM diagnostic. Look for “Percentage Remaining” of spare blocks.
    2. Check for “Remaining Life” of spare blocks on the XCC Web GUI.
  3. Check if the PMEM meets warranty terms.
    1. If the PMEM meets the warranty terms, contact Lenovo Support for PMEM replacement.
    2. If the PMEM does not meet the warranty terms, order a new comparable PMEM through an authorized Lenovo reseller.
  4. Collect Service log and contact Lenovo support to schedule PMEM replacement.(Note: Unless otherwise specified in other agreements or contract terms, parts beyond their warranty terms and/or parts that have reached their maximum usage limitations do not qualify for warranty service.)
