Install the dual SD card adapter

Follow this procedure to install the dual SD card adapter.

CAUTION

The power-control button on the device and the power switch on the power supply do not turn off the electrical current supplied to the device. The device also might have more than one power cord. To remove all electrical current from the device, ensure that all power cords are disconnected from the power source.

Before installing the dual SD card adapter:

1. If the adapter retainer is not installed, secure it to the chassis with a screw as illustrated.

2. Touch the static-protective package that contains the component to any unpainted metal surface on the server; then, remove it from the package and place it on a static-protective surface.

To install the dual SD card adapter, complete the following steps:

1. Slide the SD cards into the slots on the dual SD card adapter if necessary.

2. Align the adapter to the retainer and press it until it snaps in place.

3. Connect the cable to the system board. To locate the connector on the system board, see System board components.
