Installing the left-side cover

Use this information to install the left-side cover.

Read the safety information in Safety and Installation guidelines.

If you are replacing a server component in the server, you need to turn off the server and peripheral devices, and disconnect the power cords and all external cables.

To install the left-side server cover, complete the following steps.

1. Carefully turn the server on its side so that it is lying flat, with the cover-side facing up.
2. Set the bottom edge of the left-side cover on the bottom ledge of the server.
3. Rotate the top edge of the cover toward the server and press the cover release latch down until it clicks into place.

4. Lock the cover, using the key that comes with the server.
