Opening the bezel door

Use this information to unlock the left-side cover to open or remove the bezel.

Read the safety information in Safety and Installation guidelines.

If you are replacing a server component in the server, you need to turn off the server and peripheral devices, and disconnect the power cords and all external cables.

To open the bezel door, follow the steps below.

1. Unlock the left-side cover.
   Note

   You must unlock the left-side cover to open or remove the bezel door. When you lock the left-side cover, it locks both the cover and the bezel door.
2. From the left-top section of the bezel door, use the key to turn the tab up to unlock the left-side cover and the bezel door

3. Open the bezel door by pressing the button on the left edge of the bezel door, and rotate the left side of the bezel door away from the server.

   Note

   In order to avoid damage to the ODD/DVD and/or tape drive and/or media, remove the bezel filler.
