Install an NVLink switch tray to the rack
Follow instructions in this section to install an NVLink switch tray to the rack. The procedure must be executed by a trained technician.

Use safe practices when lifting.

Attention
Do not leave multiple trays open at the same time, as it may increase the risk of over-tilting or instability.


Attention
- Read Installation Guidelines and Safety inspection checklist to ensure that you work safely.
- Touch the static-protective package that contains the component to any unpainted metal surface on the server; then, remove it from the package and place it on a static-protective surface.
Note
Ensure the following tools are available to perform the replacement:
- Two 30L containers (one labeled with “Fresh” and one labeled with Waste") with integrated hose mounts
- Air compressor
- Approved coolant: PG25, NALCO® TCS101, or HPCCL2000 (Deionized water premixed with a compatible antimicrobial agent)
- Cordless transfer pump
- Lift tool
- Liquid cooling service kit includes below:
- Draining kit: Connects the tray to the drainage/coolant container.
- Air input kit: Connects the air compressor to the tray
- Filler kit: Connects the pump to the tray
- Coolant source kit: Connects the coolant/fresh deionized water container to the pump.
- Nitrogen release kit with gauge: Connects the tray to the drainage container.
- Phillips #2 bit
- Spill kit
- Torque screwdriver
Procedure
After you finish
- Reconnect any previously removed cables.
- Complete the parts replacement. See Complete the parts replacement.

Ensure the ball valve on the Nitrogen release kit is closed. Then, remove the left quick connector cap and attach the kit. Check the gauge to confirm the pressure.
Place the opposite end of the Nitrogen release kit into the drainage container.
Ensure the pressure is stable, and then gradually open the ball valve to perform the pressure release.
Install the silicon washers on the ends of filler kit and coolant source kit that connect to the cordless transfer pump.
Remove the right quick connector cap and attach the filler kit.
Connect the opposite end of the filler kit to the pump.
Place the coolant source kit into the coolant container.
Connect the opposite end of the coolant source kit to the pump.
