Remove a ejector from the rack

Follow instructions in this section to remove a ejector from the rack.

About this task

Attention
  • Read Installation Guidelines and Safety inspection checklist to ensure that you work safely.
  • Touch the static-protective package that contains the component to any unpainted metal surface on the server; then, remove it from the package and place it on a static-protective surface.
Note
Ensure the following tools are available to perform the replacement:
  • Torque screwdriver
  • Torx T25 bit

Procedure

Loosen the nine screws on each 9RU ejector bar to remove it from the rack.
Note
There are three ejector bars per side. If necessary, use the same procedure to remove the remaining bars.
