What's new in XClarity One

Review this information to learn about new software enhancements and fixes that are included in Lenovo XClarity One.

Additional hardware support

Lenovo XClarity Management Hub 2.0 is a new lightweight device manager that you can use to manage the following Lenovo servers.
  • ThinkAgile HX series appliances
  • ThinkAgile MX series appliances
  • ThinkAgile SX series appliances
  • ThinkAgile VX series appliances
  • ThinkEdge SE series servers
  • ThinkSystem servers

Software enhancements

The following software enhancements are supported in XClarity One.

Management hubs

XClarity One makes it easy to initially configure a new management hub using a setup wizard (see Configuring XClarity Management Hub 2.0).

XClarity One makes it easy to keep your management hubs up to date by pushing the latest updates to the hub repository and automatically staring the update process (see Management-hub updates).

You can regenerate the root certificate authority (CA) for a management hub (see Regenerating the self-signed management hub server certificate).

You can enable or disable enable certain device-management functions (such as power actions or firmware updates) for specific management hubs from the management-hub user interface, or disable the functions globally in all management hubs in your organization from the XClarity One web interface (see Management functions).

To transfer firmware to managed devices and to update the firmware, you must open ports 115 and 6990 on the managed devices (see Configuring the management hub network).

You can interact with the web interface using keyboard actions. Use Esc to navigate, use Enter to trigger an action, and use Space to skip steps in a wizard (when applicable).

Users

Other than the first organization owners, subsequent owner no longer have the user-administrator role by default (see Users).

AnalyticsXClarity One collects memory-diagnostic logs that are generated by the XCC for DDR4 SDRAM memory modules in managed ThinkSystem devices and uses this data to improve the future AI models that are used to predict probable memory failures (see Data security).

No new hardware is supported by Lenovo XClarity Management Hub 2.0 in this release.

Software enhancements

The following software enhancements are supported in XClarity One.

Devices

XClarity One makes it easy to maintain the firmware on your managed servers using templates, which consist of a set of rules and criteria that define the desired configuration for a certain type of server and identifies which managed servers are monitored for compliance (see Templates).

Alerts and events

You can set warning and critical usage thresholds and the alert duration for the certain components. A todo is raised when a threshold is exceeded. (See Usage metrics and trends).
