Remove an A1 rearwall bracket (left)

Use this information to remove an A1 rearwall on the left of the rear chassis.

About this task

Attention

  • Prevent exposure to static electricity, which might lead to system halt and loss of data, by keeping static-sensitive components in their static-protective packages until installation, and handling these devices with an electrostatic-discharge wrist strap or other grounding system.

Procedure

  1. Touch the static-protective package that contains the new riser card to any unpainted surface on the outside of the server. Then, take the new riser card out of the package and place it on a static-protective surface.
  2. Remove an A1 rearwall bracket.

    1. Remove the three screws as shown.
    2. Remove the bracket from the chassis as shown.

After you finish

  1. Remove or install a rear drive cage or riser assemblies. See
