Install a PCIe riser board
Follow instructions in this section to install a PCIe riser board to the rear PCIe riser.
About this task
Attention
Read Installation Guidelines and Safety inspection checklist to ensure that you work safely.
Touch the static-protective package that contains the drive to any unpainted metal surface on the server; then, remove the drive from the package and place it on a static-protective surface.
Procedure
Fasten the four screws to secure the PCIe riser board to the PCIe riser cage.

After you finish
Reinstall the PCIe adapter or serial port module. See Install a PCIe adapter or Install the serial port module.
Reinstall the PCIe riser. See Install a PCIe riser.
Reconnect the required cables.
Complete the parts replacement. See Complete the parts replacement.
