Remove the 2.5-inch drive backplane module

Follow instructions in this section to remove the 2.5-inch drive backplane module.

Procedure

1. Prepare your server.
   1. Remove the top cover. See Remove the top cover.
   2. Remove all 2.5-inch hot-swap drives from the chassis. See Remove a 2.5-inch hot-swap drive. Place the drives on a static protective surface.
2. Disconnect the power and signal cables from 2.5-inch drive backplane.
3. Remove the 2.5-inch drive backplane module.
   1. Unfasten the thumbscrew on the drive backplane module.
   2. Lift the drive backplane module out of the chassis.
