Install a PCIe riser air flow control

Follow instructions in this section to install a PCIe riser air flow control.

About this task

Attention
  • Read Installation Guidelines and Safety inspection checklist to ensure that you work safely.
  • Touch the static-protective package that contains the component to any unpainted metal surface on the server; then, remove it from the package and place it on a static-protective surface.

Procedure

  1. Tilt the PCIe riser air flow control at an angle, and engage the two hooks with the vent holes as illustrated.
  2. Fasten the screw to secure the PCIe riser air flow control.
    Note
    Hold the PCIe riser air flow control while fastening the screw.

After you finish

  1. Reinstall the PCIe riser. See Install a PCIe riser.
  2. Complete the parts replacement. See Complete the parts replacement.
