Remove a 2.5-inch hot-swap drive

Follow instructions in this section to remove a 2.5-inch hot-swap drive.

Procedure

  1. Gently rotate the release latch away to unlock the drive handle.

  2. Grasp and pull the handle to remove the drive from the drive bay.

After this task is completed

  1. Install a replacement unit or filler (see Install a 2.5-inch hot-swap drive).

  2. If you are instructed to return the component or optional device, follow all packaging instructions, and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
