The power-on button does not work, and the reset button does not work (the server does not start). The power-on button will not function until approximately 10 seconds after the server has been connected to ac power. | - Check the ac power LED and the dc power LED on the power supply see Power-supply LEDs.
- Check the IMM2 event log and resolve any errors related to the device.
- Install an additional power supply or change the input power source from 110 V to 220 V.
- If you just installed an optional device, remove it and restart the server. If the server now starts, you might have installed more devices than the power supply can support.
- Make sure that the power interposer card is connected to the power supply connector and the system board correctly.
- Replace the operator information panel and operator information panel cable.

The server does not turn off | - Determine whether you are using an Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) or a non-ACPI operating system. If you are using a non-ACPI operating system, complete the following steps:
- Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete.
- Turn off the server by pressing the power-on button and holding it down for 5 seconds.
- Restart the server.
- If the server fails POST and the power-on button does not work, disconnect the ac power cord for 20 seconds; then, reconnect the ac power cord and restart the server.
- If the problem remains or if you are using an ACPI-aware operating system, suspect the system board.

The server unexpectedly shuts down, and the LEDs on the operator information panel are not lit. | - Check the IMM2 event log for errors and resolve any errors associated with the device.
