Use this information to solve problems associated with the fans running at a high RPM.

- See Parts listing, Lenovo System x3750 M4 Type 8753 to determine which components are customer replaceable units (CRU) and which components are field replaceable units (FRU).
- If an action step is preceded by (Trained service technician only), that step must be performed only by a Trained service technician.

| The fans are running at an abnormally high revolutions per minute (RPM). The TEMP LED may or may not be lit. | - Check to see if the system inlet perforation or heatsinks are clogged.
- Make sure that all baffles are installed correctly in the server.
- Check the thermal grease on the microprocessor. Make sure the thermal grease is not contaminated.
