Restarting XClarity Orchestrator

There are certain situations when you might need to restart Lenovo XClarity Orchestrator, such as when regenerating or uploading a server certificate. You can restart Lenovo XClarity Orchestrator from the web interface.

Before you begin

You must have Supervisor authority to restart XClarity Orchestrator.

Consider backing up the orchestrator server before restarting (see Backing up and restoring orchestrator-server data).

Ensure that no jobs are currently running. Any jobs that are currently running are canceled during the restart process. To view the jobs log, see Monitoring jobs.

During the restart process, jobs are stopped, all users are logged off , and connectivity to the orchestrator server is lost. Wait 15 minutes or more (depending on the number of managed devices) for the orchestrator server to restart before logging in again (Logging in to XClarity Orchestrator).

After XClarity Orchestrator restarts, it recollects inventory for each managed device. Wait approximately 30-45 minutes, depending upon the number of managed devices, before attempting firmware updates, configuration pattern deployments, or operating-system deployments.
