Remove the power distribution board

Use this information to remove the power distribution board.

Electrical current from power, telephone, and communication cables is hazardous.

To avoid a shock hazard:

  • Connect all power cords to a properly wired and grounded electrical outlet/source.
  • Connect any equipment that will be attached to this product to properly wired outlets/sources.
  • When possible, use one hand only to connect or disconnect signal cables.
  • Never turn on any equipment when there is evidence of fire, water, or structural damage.
  • The device might have more than one power cord, to remove all electrical current from the device, ensure that all power cords are disconnected from the power source.
Before you remove the power distribution board:
  1. Read the Installation Guidelines to ensure that you work safely.

  2. Turn off the corresponding DWC tray that you are going to perform the task on.

  3. Remove the tray (see Install a DWC tray in the enclosure).

  4. Remove the tray cover (see Remove the tray cover).

  5. Remove the water loop (Remove the water loop).

Complete the following steps to remove the power distribution board.

  1. Remove the screws on the rear bulkhead bracket. The screw on the rear is a T8 Torx screw while the other screws are T10 Torx.
    Note
    Use L-Shaped Torx T10 drivers to remove the screw on the left quick connect.

  2. Remove rear bulkhead brackets.

  3. Remove the three screws that secure the power distribution board to the DWC tray and keep them for future use.

  4. Remove the power distribution board out of the DWC tray with an angle.
