Configuration guide

Follow instructions in this section to remove or install the enclosure, node sleeve, and node from and to the related mounting options.

　

Note

ThinkEdge SE350 V2 is designed to be used with various mounting options.

  • Desktop mount: the node is oriented horizontally with rubber feet mounted to its underside.

  • Rack mount: up to two nodes (with no top cover) can be mounted in an enclosure, and the enclosure is installed in the rack.

    For information about removing or installing a node from or to the rack mount, see Rack mount configuration.

    For details of the rail options for the rack installation, see Rail Installation Guides.

  • DIN-rail mount or Wall mount/ceiling mount: the node is mounted in a node sleeve.

    For information about removing or installing the node sleeve from or to the DIN-rail mount or wall mount/ceiling mount, see DIN-rail mount configuration or Wall mount/ceiling mount configuration.

Important
The mounting options of SE350 V2 support different system configuration. For proper operation, see the following table for the supported configurations:

*When 300W external power adapter is installed, one of the following mounting options is supported with proper ambient temperature:
  • Desktop mount at lower than 40°C
  • Rack mount with ThinkEdge SE350 V2 1U2N Enclosure at lower than 30°C
  • Rack mount with ThinkEdge SE350 V2 2U2N Enclosure at lower than 40°C

　

  • Rack mount configuration
    Follow instructions in this section to remove or install the node from or to an enclosure, as well as the enclosure from or to a rack.
  • DIN-rail mount configuration
    Follow instructions in this section to remove or install a node from or to a node sleeve, or a node sleeve from or to the DIN rail.
  • Wall mount/ceiling mount configuration
    Follow instructions in this section to remove or install a node from or to a node sleeve, or a node sleeve from or to the wall mount/ceiling mount.
