M.2 boot adapter cable routing

Use the section to understand the internal routing and connectors for the M.2 boot adapter.

Note

  • Connections between connectors; 1↔1, 2↔2, 3↔3, ... n↔n

  • When routing the cables, ensure that all cables are routed appropriately through the cable guides and cable clips.

  • When a ThinkSystem M.2 SATA/x4 NVMe 2-Bay Enablement Kit is installed, eight SATA/SAS drives configured with software RAID is not supported.
