Remove a RAID flash power module from the chassis

Use this information to remove a RAID flash power module from the chassis.

  • Prevent exposure to static electricity, which might lead to system halt and loss of data, by keeping static-sensitive components in their static-protective packages until installation, and handling these devices with an electrostatic-discharge wrist strap or other grounding system.

Procedure

  1. Remove the top cover. See Remove the top cover.
  2. Disconnect the cable of the RAID flash power module.
  3. Remove the RAID flash power module.

    1. Open the retention clip on the supercap holder.
    2. Take the RAID flash power module out of the holder.
  4. Remove the supercap holder as shown if necessary.

    Remove the supercap holder from the chassis.
