Install the thermal air flow rear baffle
Follow instructions in this section to install the thermal air flow rear baffle.
About this task
Attention
- Read Installation Guidelines and Safety inspection checklist to ensure that you work safely.
- Touch the static-protective package that contains the component to any unpainted metal surface on the server; then, remove it from the package and place it on a static-protective surface.
Procedure
- Peel off the liner from the double-sided tape on the thermal air flow rear baffle.
- Install the thermal air flow rear baffle.
Insert the left end of the thermal air flow rear baffle into the chassis at an angle.
Rotate the thermal air flow rear baffle toward the chassis, and press it until it is evenly attached to the chassis.
Fasten the two screws to secure the thermal air flow rear baffle to the chassis.Figure 1. Thermal air flow rear baffle installation

- If applicable, reinstall the PCIe riser 2. See Install a PCIe riser.
