Remove the OCP module

Follow instructions in this section to remove the OCP module.

About this task

Attention

• Read Installation Guidelines and Safety inspection checklist to ensure that you work safely.
• Power off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect the power cords and all external cables. See Power off the server.
• Make sure you have a OCP slot filler available if the OCP slot will be left empty after the removal

The system may support a 2-port or a 4-port OCP module for network connections. Port numbering are shown in the illustrations below.

Procedure

1. Loosen the thumbscrew. Use a screwdriver if necessary.
2. Grasp the handle and slide the OCP module out.
