Replacing parts
This section provides installation and removal procedures for all serviceable system components. Each component replacement procedure references any tasks that need to be performed to gain access to the component being replaced.
Note
Ensure that you have updated the firmware and have applied the required settings after the component replacement. See Firmware/drivers/software updates.
- NoteTo identifying a drive slot number in HX1021, follow the steps below:
- From the Prism GUI, select from the drop down list to locate the Serial Number.
- Login to the Lenovo XClarity Controller page using the BMC IP. Under , the drive slot number will be located on the left of the Serial Number under the Bay column.
