Network Settings

This page allows you to configure the network settings.

Network IP Settings

This page allows you to manage LAN support for the interface.

  • Enable LAN: To enable or disable the LAN Settings.

  • LAN Interface: Lists the LAN interfaces.

  • MAC Address: This field displays the MAC Address of the device. This is a read only field.

  • Enable IPv4: This option is to enable/disable the IPv4 settings in the device.

  • Enable IPv4 DHCP: This option is to enable IPv4 DHCP support for the selected interface.

  • IPv4 Address: Specify the static IPv4 address to be configured to the device.

  • IPv4 Subnet: Specify the Subnet Mask to be configured to the device.

  • IPv4 Gateway: Specify the static Default Gateway to be configured to the device.

  • Enable IPv6: To Enable/Disable the IPv6 configuration settings.

  • Enable IPv6 DHCP: To Enable/Disable the IPv6 settings in the device. It dynamically configures IPv6 address using DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol).

  • IPv6 Index: To specify a static IPv6 Index to be configured to the device. E.g.: 0

  • IPv6 Address: To specify a static IPv6 address to be configured to the device. Eg: 2004::2010

  • Subnet Prefix length: To specify the subnet prefix length for the IPv6 settings.

  • IPv6 Gateway: Specify v6 default gateway for the IPv6 settings.

  • Enable VLAN: To enable/disable the VLAN support for selected interface.

  • VLAN ID: The Identification for VLAN configuration.

  • VLAN Priority: The priority for VLAN configuration.

This page allows you to select the network interface for link speed and duplex mode configuration.

  • LAN Interface: Select the required network interface from the list for which the link speed and duplex mode are to be configured.

  • Auto Negotiation: This option is enabled to allow the device to perform automatic configuration to achieve the best possible mode of operation (speed and duplex) over a link.

    Note
The Link Speed and Duplex Mode options will be available only when Auto Negotiation is disabled.

  • Link Speed: Select the link speed for the selected LAN interface. Link speed options are dependent on the capabilities of the network interface. Speed can be 10/100/1000 Mbps.

    Note
Link speed of 1000 Mbps is not applicable when Auto Negotiation is disabled.
  • Duplex Mode: Select the duplex mode for the selected LAN interface.

  • NCSI Interface: Displays the NCSI interface status for the selected LAN interface.

DNS Configuration

This page allows you to manage DNS settings of the device.

Domain Name Service Configuration
  • DNS Enabled: To enable/disable all the DNS Service Configurations.

  • mDNS Enable: To enable/disable the mDNS Support Configurations.

    Note
After enabling mDNS, users can access the web UI using the hostname through the browser.
  • Host Name Settings: Choose either Automatic or Manual settings.

  • Host Name: Displays host name of the device. If the Host setting is chosen as Manual, then specify the host name of the device.
    Note
    • Value ranges from 1 to 64 alpha-numeric characters.

    • Special characters ‘-’(hyphen) and ‘_’(underscore) are allowed.

    • It must not start or end with a ‘-’(hyphen). IE browsers won’t work correctly if any part of the host name contain ‘_’(underscore) character.

  • BMC Interface: Options to register the BMC through the Interfaces.

  • Register BMC: Register BMC through registration method.

  • Registration Method: Options to register the BMC are through NSupdate, DHCP Client FQDN, or Hostname.

TSIG Configuration
  • All: Check this option to modify TSIG authentication for both interfaces Eth0 and Eth1.

  • TSIG Authentication Enabled: Check this box to enable TSIG authentication while registering DNS via nsupdate. Separate TSIG files can be uploaded for each LAN interface.

  • Current TSIG Private File: The information of Current TSIG private file along with its uploaded date/time will be displayed (read-only).

  • New TSIG Private File: Browse and navigate to the TSIG private file.

  • Domain Setting: Select whether the domain interface will be configured manually or automatically.

  • Domain Interface: This field will be present if Domain Setting is set to Automatic, the field is used to display the domain interface of the device.

  • Domain Name: This field will be present if Domain Setting is set to Manual, the field is used to specify the domain name of the device.

  • Domain Name Server Setting: Select whether the domain name will be configured manually or automatically.

  • IP Priority: This field will be present if Domain Name Server Setting is set to Automatic, the field is used to select the IP Priority. If IP priority is IPv4, 2 IPv4 and 1 IPv6 DNS servers are used. If IP priority is IPv6, 1 IPv4 and 2 IPv6 DNS servers are used.
    Note
This is not applicable for Manual configuration.
  • DNS Server 1, 2 & 3: his field will be present if Domain Name Server Setting is set to Manual, the field is used to specify the DNS (Domain Name System) server address to be configured for the BMC.
