Removing the power paddle card from the GPU tray

Use this information to remove the paddle card from the GPU tray.

To remove the paddle card from the GPU tray, complete the following steps:

  1. Read the safety information that begins on Safety and Installation guidelines.
  2. Turn off the compute node and peripheral devices and disconnect the power cords and all external cables (see Turning off the compute node).
  3. Remove the cover (see Removing the compute node cover).
  4. Remove the air baffle (see Removing the air baffle).
  5. Make a note of where cables are attached to the power paddle card; then, disconnect them.
  6. Remove the four screws that secure the power paddle card to the GPU tray and save them for future use.
  7. Slide the power paddle card out of the GPU tray.

  8. If you are instructed to return the power paddle card, follow all packaging instructions, and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
