System board replacement (trained technician only)

Operation of this task must be done by trained technicians that are certified by Lenovo Service.

Backup the Self Encryption Drive Authentication Key (SED AK)
After setting up ThinkEdge SE450 with Security Pack or making changes to the configuration, backing up the Self Encryption Drive Authentication Key (SED AK) is a must operation to prevent data loss in the hardware failure case.
Remove the system board assembly

Install the system board assembly

Update the machine type and serial number
After the system board is replaced by trained service technicians, the machine type and serial number must be updated.
Enable UEFI Secure Boot
Optionally, you can enable UEFI Secure Boot.
