Hardware disassembling for chassis recycle

See this topic to learn how to comply with regulations before recycling the chassis.

  1. If applicable, remove the security bezel (see Remove the security bezel).
  2. Remove the power supply units (see Remove a hot-swap power supply unit).
  3. Remove the top covers (see Remove the top covers).
  4. Remove the air baffle (see Remove the air baffle).
  5. Remove the fan cage assembly (see Remove the fan cage assembly).
  6. Remove both PCIe riser assemblies (see Remove the PCIe riser assemblies and adapters).
  7. Remove the M.2 boot adapter (see Remove the M.2 boot adapter and drives).
  8. Remove the trayless drive cage (see Remove the drive cage and trayless drives).
  9. Remove the power backplane (see Remove the power backplane).
  10. Remove the OCP adapter (see Remove the OCP Ethernet adapter).
  11. Remove the system board (see Remove the system board assembly).
  12. Remove the security bezel cable module (see Remove the security bezel cable module).
  13. Recycle the chassis in compliance with local regulations.
