This topic provides cable routing information for the front 12 x 3.5-inch SAS/SATA Expander backplane and a 2 x 3.5-inch/4 x 3.5-inch/4 x 2.5-inch SAS/SATA rear drive backplane.
8i adapter
Below illustration uses the 4 x 2.5-inch SAS/SATA rear backplane as an example for cable routing. Cable routing for the other rear backplanes is similar.
Connections between connectors: 1 ↔ 1, 2 ↔ 2, 3 ↔ 3, ... n ↔ n
