Two 8 x AnyBay backplanes

This section provides cable routing information for the server model with two 8 x 2.5-inch AnyBay front drive backplanes.

To connect power cables for the front backplane(s), refer to Backplanes: server models with 2.5-inch drive backplanes.

To connect signal cables for the front backplane(s), refer to the following cable routing scenarios depending on your server configuration:

  • 8i RAID adapters (Tri-mode)
    The following shows the signal cable connections for the 16 x 2.5-inch AnyBay configuration with two Tri-mode 8i RAID adapters for U.3 drives.
  • CFF 16i RAID adapter (Tri-mode)
    The following shows the cable connections for the 16 x 2.5-inch AnyBay configuration with one Tri-mode CFF 16i RAID adapter for U.3 drives.
