Front + middle backplanes: 12 x 3.5-inch SAS/SATA + 4 x 2.5/4 x 3.5-inch SAS/SATA

This section provides cable routing information for configuration (12 x 3.5-inch SAS/SATA front drive backplane and 4 x 2.5-inch or 4 x 3.5-inch SAS/SATA middle drive backplane) with one 16i RAID/HBA adapter.

16i RAID/HBA adapter​

Connections between connectors: 1 ↔ 1, 2 ↔ 2, 3 ↔ 3, ... n ↔ n

The illustration below uses the 4 x 3.5-inch SAS/SATA rear drive backplane as an example, and cable routing for the 4 x 2.5-inch SAS/SATA rear drive backplane is similar.
