Install the intrusion switch
Follow instructions in this section to install the intrusion switch.
About this task
Attention
- Read Installation Guidelines and Safety inspection checklist to ensure that you work safely.
- Touch the static-protective package that contains the component to any unpainted metal surface on the server; then, remove it from the package and place it on a static-protective surface.
Procedure
Push the intrusion switch into the intrusion switch bracket on the top of the power supply bays. Make sure the intrusion switch is fully seated in the bracket.
Route the intrusion switch cable through the three cable clips on the outside of the power supply bays.
Connect the intrusion switch cable to the system board assembly.Figure 1. Intrusion switch installation

After you finish
- Reinstall the PCIe riser 2 if necessary. See Install a PCIe riser.
