Disassemble the system board for recycle

Follow the instructions in this section to disassemble the system board before recycling.

Before disassembling the system board:

  1. Remove the system board from the server (see Remove a system board).

  2. Refer to local environmental, waste or disposal regulations to ensure compliance.

Complete the following steps to disassemble the system board:

  1. Remove the following components as illustrated:

    • Use a Torx T10 screwdriver and remove the Torx T10 screw (1 in the following illustration)

    • Use a screwdriver and remove the 9 screws

  2. Separate the system board from the supporting sheet metal.

After disassembling the system board, comply with local regulations when recycling.
