This procedure describes how to remove a compute node from your ThinkAgile CP configuration.
Procedure performed by: Solution administrator, ThinkAgile Advantage Support
To remove a compute node from your ThinkAgile CP configuration, perform the following steps:
- Obtain the serial number from the web portal’s Hardware page.
This step requires administrator-level access.
- Shut down the compute node. See Shutting off a compute node.
- Physically remove the compute node.
- Sign in to the primary interconnect from Support Mode (see Managing Support Mode).
The username is admin and the password is the one set during the installation.
- Run the following command on the primary interconnect:
> sudo service tacp-network-controller restart
- Contact Lenovo Support and request a hardware removal from the database by providing the serial number and the region the hardware is (US or EU).
