Installing the power paddle card

Use this information to install the power paddle card.

1. Carefully turn the server on its side so that it is lying flat, with the cover facing up.
   Attention

   Do not allow the server to fall over.
2. Unlock and remove the left-side cover (see Removing the left-side cover).
3. Remove the air baffle (see Removing the air baffle).
4. Remove all long cards from the system board.
5. Remove the fan cage assembly (see Removing the fan cage assembly),
6. Align the power paddle card with the cage assembly. Then, fasten the five screws to secure the power paddle card.

7. Align the power paddle card top cover with the cage assembly. Then, fasten the screw to secure the power paddle card top cover.

8. Rotate the power supply air baffle up.

9. Push the power paddle card cage assembly into the server till it clicks into place.

10. Reconnect the internal power cables to the power paddle card cage assembly.
11. Reinstall the fan cage assembly (see Installing the fan cage assembly).
12. Reinstall the power supplies (see Installing a hot-swap power supply).
13. Reinstall the air baffle (see Installing the air baffle).
14. Install and lock the left-side cover (see Installing the left-side cover).
15. Stand the server back up in its vertical position.
