Replacing the media cage (also called lightpath LCD operation panel assembly)

Use this information to replace the media cage (also called lightpath LCD operation panel assembly).

1. Read the safety information that begins on Safety and Installation guidelines.
2. Turn off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect all power cords.
3. Remove the top cover (see Removing the top cover).
4. Carefully slide the media cage into the server.

5. Tighten the thumbscrew to secure the media cage onto the server.

6. Reconnect the USB, CD/DVD and operator information/LCD panel cables to the system board first; then, route the cables as the following illustration. Remember to insert the cables into the cable clip for proper routing.

7. Replace the top cover (see Replacing the top cover).
8. Slide the server into the rack.
9. Reconnect the power cords and any cables that you removed.
10. Turn on the peripheral devices and the server.
