Removing the USB/video tray assembly

Use this information to remove the USB/video tray assembly.

To remove the USB/video tray assembly, complete the following steps:

1. Read the safety information and installation guidelines, see Safety and Installation guidelines.
2. Turn off the server (see Turning off the server) and all attached peripheral devices. Disconnect all power cords; then, disconnect all external cables as necessary to replace the device.
3. Slide the server out of the rack.
4. Remove the server top cover (see Removing the server top cover).
5. Remove the fan cage assembly (see Removing the fan cage assembly).
6. Remove all RAID flash power modules from the USB/video tray assembly, if any are installed (see Removing a RAID adapter flash power module).
7. Disconnect the USB/video tray assembly cable from the system board.
8. Lift the tab on the rear of the USB/video tray assembly and the assembly; then, slide the assembly out (toward the rear of the server) of the server.

   

9. If you are instructed to return the USB/video tray assembly, follow all packaging instructions, and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
