Directory services server connection failed
The storage array is unable to connect to the Directory Services server.
Possible causes include:
The server configuration settings are incorrect.
The installed CA certificate is no longer valid.
The server is offline.
The server is not operational or reachable due to a cabling or network issue.
Security admin privileges are required to resolve this problem.
The storage array cannot be accessed using Directory Services credentials associated with this server until this problem is resolved.
If a static domain name is provided for the Directory Services server, a DNS server must also be configured on the same controller to resolve the server's IP address. You may configure a DNS server for the controller by going to Hardware, highlighting the desired controller, and selecting Configure DNS Server.
Recovery Steps
Are the configuration settings for the Directory Services server shown in the Details area correct?
If yes, go to step 5.
If no, go to step 2.
Verify the Directory Services server configuration settings are correct.
Go to Directory Services tab.
. Then, select theHighlight the affected Directory Services server in the table.
Select View/Edit Settings and enter the correct server URL and port number.
Is the Directory Services server connected via a secure protocol?
If yes, go to step 4.
If no, go to step 8.
Verify that the CA certificate installed for the secure protocol is valid.

. Then, select the Trusted tab.Select 'user-installed' certificates from the drop-down control.
Locate the CA certificate in the table.
Upload a new certificate if the previously trusted certificate has expired or is no longer valid.
Go to step 8.
Is the Directory Services server offline?
If yes, bring the server back online, and then go to step 8.
If no, go to step 6.
Is the Directory Services server operational and reachable from the controller given your network configuration?
if yes, go to step 7.
if no, fix the problem, and then go to step 8.
Is the DNS server operational and reachable from the controller given your network configuration?
if yes, contact your Technical Support Engineer.
if no, fix the problem, and then go to step 8.
Select Recheck to ensure the problem has been resolved.
