Software enhancements
Function | Description |
---|---|
Administration | You use an external CyberArk identity-management system as an external password vault to store XClarity Administrator and Lenovo XClarity Controller credentials (see Setting up a CyberArk identity-management system). Single sign-on to the management controller interface is supported for ThinkSystem SR645 and SR665 servers (requires XCC 21A or later firmware). |
Device management | Thermal design power (TDP), which is the maximum power that is running at the highest p-state, is available in the processor inventory (see Viewing the details of a managed server). |
Operating system deployment | You can deploy Ubuntu operating-system images using the predefined Virtualization profile (see Operating-system image profiles). |
Firmware updates | You can update firmware on ThinkSystem DM storage devices (see Updating firmware on managed devices). You can create update compliance policies that set compliance rules at the firmware-component level (see Creating and assigning firmware-compliance policies). You can apply firmware updates for Lenovo XClarity Provisioning Manager (LXPM), LXPM windows drivers, or LXPM Linux drivers to ThinkSystem SR635 and SR655 servers (see Applying ThinkSystem SR635/SR655 firmware updates through a BoMC image using compliance policies). |
Windows device-driver updates | You can use a domain account when updating OS device-drivers updates (see Configuring Windows Server for OS device-driver updates). |
Service and support | You can delete service tickets that are in the Unknown state (see Viewing service tickets and status). |
PowerShell toolkit | For information about new and updated PowerShell cmdlets, see Summary of changes in the PowerShell toolkit. |
PyLXCA toolkit | For information about new and updated PyLXCA commands, see Summary of changes in the Python (PyLXCA) toolkit. |
REST API | For information about new and updated REST APIs, see Summary of changes in the REST API. |
