Force using COM2 ttyS1 for IPMI SoL

By default, the IPMI SoL of the system is COM1 ttyS0. Follow instructions in this section to switch the IPMI SoL routing to COM2 ttyS1.

Using Lenovo XClarity Controller​

Steps:

  1. Enable IPMI on Lenovo XClarity Controller web interface.

  2. Implement the following IPMI command to force using COM2 ttyS1:

    ipmitool raw 0x3a 0x22 0x08 0x01
    Note
    If necessary, it is possible to revert to the default COM1 ttyS0 with the following IPMI command:
    ipmitool raw 0x3a 0x22 0x08 0x00
