Remove a power adapter

Follow instructions in this section to remove power adapter(s).

About this task

To avoid potential danger, make sure to read and follow the safety information.

    CAUTION
    The power-control button on the device and the power switch on the power supply do not turn off the electrical current supplied to the device. The device also might have more than one power cord. To remove all electrical current from the device, ensure that all power cords are disconnected from the power source.

    Never remove the cover on a power supply or any part that has this label attached. Hazardous voltage, current, and energy levels are present inside any component that has this label attached. There are no serviceable parts inside these components. If you suspect a problem with one of these parts, contact a service technician.

Remove a power adapter from the enclosure​

Procedure

  1. Remove the power cable cover from the power adapter support bracket of the enclosure.
    1. Remove the two screws from the power cable cover.
    2. Disengage and remove the cover from the enclosure.

      • For a 1U2N enclosure: push the power cable cover slightly toward the front of the node; then, remove the cover.

      • For an 2U2N enclosure: enclosure: push the power cable cover slightly toward the rear of the node; then, remove the cover.

  2. Carefully tilt the power adapter up and remove it from the enclosure.

  3. Disconnect the power adapter cable from the bridge cable that connects the adapter and the node.

　

After this task is completed

  • Install a replacement unit (see Install a power adapter).
  • If you are instructed to return the component, follow all of the packaging instructions and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
