Install the top cover

Use this information to install the top cover.

To avoid possible danger, read and follow the following safety information.

Hazardous energy present. Voltages with hazardous energy might cause heating when shorted with metal, which might result in spattered metal, burns, or both.

Before you install the top cover, complete the following steps:
  1. Read the following sections to ensure that you work safely.
  2. Turn off the server. Disconnect the power cords and all external cables (see Power off the server).

  3. Make sure all the removed components are installed, and all the disconnected cables inside the server are reconnected.

Procedure

  1. Align the posts inside the top cover with the slots on the chassis.
  2. Hold the front of the server and slide the top cover towards the front server until it clicks into place.
After you install the top cover, complete the following steps:
  1. Reconnect power cords and all external cables.

  2. Turn on the server (see Power on the server).
