Remove the top cover

Follow instructions in this section to remove the top cover.

Procedure

  1. If necessary, remove all the WLAN antennas. See Remove the WLAN antennas.
  2. Turn the keylock to the unlock position with the key; then, take the key out of the keylock, and reverse the node to let the top side facing up.

  3. Remove the top cover.
    1. Press and hold the button to disengage the cover.
    2. Slide and lift the cover to remove it from the chassis; then, place it on a flat clean surface.
    Attention
    • To make sure that there is adequate system cooling, install both top cover and bottom cover before powering on the server. Operating the server with the covers removed might damage server components.

    • Service label is located on the inside of the top cover.

  4. Let the bottom side of the node facing up. Turn the keylock to the lock position with the key, and store the key for future use.
