Remove the front operator panel

Follow instructions in this section to remove the front operator panel.

Procedure

1. Make preparation for this task.
   1. Remove the top cover. See Remove the top cover.
   2. (SXM5 GPU Model only) Depending on the configuration, disconnect the power cable from the CX-7 carrier board (connected to the power connector 1) or the SXM5 PCIe switch board.
2. Disconnect the front operator panel cable from the system board assembly as illustrated.

   Note

   The 4-DW GPU Model is used as an example for illustration. The cable routing path is the same for the 8-DW GPU Model.

3. Remove the front operator panel.
   1. Press and hold on the two release tabs on the top of the drive bays.
   2. Grasp and pull the front operator panel to remove it from the server.
