Remove a rear PCIe adapter

Follow instructions in this section to remove a rear PCIe adapter. The procedure must be executed by a trained technician.

Procedure

1. Make preparation for this task.
   1. Remove the 2U compute shuttle. See Remove the 2U compute shuttle.
   2. Remove the PCIe riser assembly. See Remove a PCIe riser assembly.
   3. If applicable, remove the PCIe riser air baffle. See Remove a PCIe riser air baffle.
2. Disconnect the cable from the rear PCIe adapter.
3. Remove the rear PCIe adapter.
   1. Unfasten the screw that secures the rear PCIe adapter to the PCIe riser.
   2. Grasp the rear PCIe adapter by its edges and carefully pull it out of the PCIe slot.

      The PCIe adapter might look different from the illustration.
