VDC viewer

The VDC viewer role has the same visibility as the VDC manager but cannot act on any of the objects in the virtual datacenter.

Specifically, this role has the following capabilities:

  • Application template management capabilities:

    • View templates in the Organization Templates store.

    • View templates in the VDC Templates store

  • Application instance management capabilities:

    • View applications inside assigned virtual datacenters.

    • View all instances across all assigned virtual datacenters.

    • Filter the instances by application status (running, unresponsive, paused, and shutdown).

    • View application groups in a virtual datacenter.

    • View disaster recovery (DR) status of applications.

  • User management capabilities:

    • View other VDC manager and VDC viewer users of the virtual datacenter.

Note

The chat support widget for VDC viewer users is disabled by default when creating a new virtual datacenter. For more details, see the following topic:
