syslog command errors

This topic lists errors for the syslog command.

Table 1. syslog command errors.

The error table is a multi-row, two-column table where each row describes a CMM CLI command error: column one lists the error reported by the command-line interface and column two describes what the error means.

-test must be used exclusive of other optionsA user tries to run the -test command option at the same time as other command options.
Generating test syslog failedAn error occurs while generating the test syslog.
Invalid host name or ip address.A user tries to enter an invalid hostname or ip address.
Port number out of range.A user tries to enter an invalid port number.
