Install the PIOR left/right

Use this information to install the PIOR left/right into the shuttle.

Before you install a PIOR :
  1. Read the following section(s) to ensure that you work safely.
  2. Remove the PIOR that is to be replaced (see Remove the PIOR left/right).

Install the PIOR right

Note
This PIOR is on the right when the shuttle is viewed from the front.
  1. Align the PIOR right to the slot on the shuttle as illustrated, and lower it until it is securely seated in the shuttle.

  2. Secure the PIOR right to the shuttle with three screws as illustrated.

  3. Reconnect the fan cable to the PIOR right.

Install the PIOR left

Note
This PIOR is on the left when the shuttle is viewed from the front.
  1. Align the PIOR left to the slot on the shuttle as illustrated, and lower it until it is securely seated in the shuttle.

  2. Secure the PIOR left to the shuttle with three screws as illustrated.

  3. Reconnect the fan cable to the PIOR left.

After you install the PIOR, complete the following steps.

  1. Reinstall all the PCIe adapters that were removed previously (seeInstall a low-profile PCIe x16 adapter or Install a low-profile PCIe x8 adapter).

  2. Reinstall the EIOM into the shuttle (see Install the EIOM).

  3. Reinstall the shuttle into the enclosure (see Install the shuttle).

  4. Reinstall the cable management arm if it was removed previously.

  5. Reconnect the power cords and any cables that you removed previously.

  6. Reinstall the compute nodes into the enclosure.

  7. Power on all the compute nodes.
