Remove the EIA brackets
Follow instructions in this section to remove the EIA brackets.
About this task
Attention

If applicable, remove the security bezel. See Remove the security bezel.
Power off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect the power cords and all external cables. See Power off the server.
If the server is installed in a rack, remove the server from the rack.
Note
Depending on the configuration, the EIA brackets might look slightly different from the illustration in this section.
Procedure
Remove the four or six screws that secure each of the EIA brackets to the chassis, and remove the brackets from the chassis.
