Two processors
Use the section to understand the 2.5-inch drive backplane cable routing for the server configuration with CX-7 mezz board and two processors.
Note
- Make sure the backplane cables are placed underneath the cables that are connected to the CX-7 carrier board and the CX-7 mezz board.
- Make sure the cables that go through the right side of the server are routed under the radiator bracket as illustrated.
- Make sure the backplane power cable is routed above the radiator bracket as illustrated.
Choose the routing plan depending on if the RAID adapter is installed in the system or not.
Without RAID adapter
Note
After connecting cables, equally divide the cables that go through the right side of the front drive tray into two bundles, and secure them with the two cable ties.

With RAID adapter
Note
- For the configuration with RAID adapter on the PCIe riser 1: after connecting cables, use the cable tie that is near the front of the chassis to secure the two cables to the RAID adapter.
- For the configuration with RAID adapter on the PCIe riser 2: after connecting cables, equally divide the cables that go through the right side of the front drive tray into two bundles, and secure them with the two cable ties.

Based on the location of the RAID adapter, select the corresponding routing path from the following table.
