Remove the serial port module

Follow instructions in this section to remove the serial port module.

Procedure

1. Make preparation for this task.
   1. Remove the top cover. See Remove the top cover.
   2. Disconnect the serial port cable from the system board assembly.
   3. Remove the PCIe riser where the serial port module has been installed. See Remove a PCIe riser.
2. Remove the serial port module.
   1. Remove the serial port cable from the cable clip.
   2. Open the retention latch on the PCIe riser.
   3. Unfasten the screw that secures the serial port module to the PCIe riser.
   4. Remove the serial port module from the PCIe riser.
