Server components

This section contains information about each of the components associated with the server.

  • Front view
    This section contains information about the controls, LEDs, and connectors on the front of the server.
  • Rear view
    The rear of the server provides access to several components, including the power supplies, PCIe adapters, serial port, and Ethernet port.
  • Side view
    Follow the instructions in this section to locate the components from the side of the server.
  • Front I/O module
    The front I/O module of the server provides controls, connectors, and LEDs. The front I/O module varies by model.
  • Server locks
    Locking the server cover prevents unauthorized access to the inside of your server. Locking the front door (available on some models) prevents unauthorized access to the installed drives.
  • System-board layout
    The illustrations in this section provide information about the connectors, switches, and jumpers that are available on the system board.
